EDC teen accused of killing relative

Several hours after a Ponderosa High School student was arrested Thursday for bringing a loaded firearm to school, a relative of the teen was found dead at his Shingle Springs home, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office said.
The teen, whose identity has not been released, was arrested in connection with the woman’s death, whose body was found at a home on Neef Lane, according to the sheriff’s office.
The student was taken into custody by deputies about 8am after he was detained at Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs.
