National Winter Trails Day is Jan. 14.

South Lake Tahoe, U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and South Tahoe High School Generation Green Club is putting a free guided hike at Van Sickle Bi-state Park that day. It will be from 10am-1pm.

Participants will learn about Lake Tahoe’s pristine environment while snowshoeing.
