South Lake Tahoe’s first baby of the new year arrived Jan. 4 at 5:08pm at Barton Memorial Hospital.

Bodie James Briggs weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 19 inches.

His parents Jessica and Steve Briggs of Meyers named Bodie after California’s famous gold mining ghost town.
