Winter trails day in South Lake Tahoe rescheduled

Even though the skies on Jan. 14 will be clear, the trail will be nearly impassable even on snowshoes.

The means the South Shore winter trails day is being canceled. However, it has been reschedule for Feb. 18.

With South Lake Tahoe, U.S. Forest Services and Lake Tahoe Unified School District offices having been shut down for most of the week, this created additional challenges getting Generation Green students prepared to lead the event.

The free guided snowshoe will be in Van Sickle Bi-state Park that day. It will be from 10am-1pm.
