Donner Lake level a concern for property owners

Truckee officials are warning Donner Lake property owners of potential flooding.

While there is currently no risk of infrastructure failure, lake levels rising above the high water mark could result in low level flooding of some properties around the lake front. The Truckee River and streams remain swollen and the Donner Lake water level remains high as a result of the unprecedented amount of rain and snow.

Even though the lake level has stabilized and is dropping, that could change with the next set of storms that will be arriving this week.

Lake front residents are encouraged to survey their property and make adjustments as needed.
