Pyramid Lake back open for business

Pyramid Lake opened to fishing and other activities on Saturday after being closed since Jan. 11.

The Pauite Tribe’s land in Northern Nevada was cut off because the highway sustained massive damage.

The tribe is estimated to have lost $1 million between repairing its roads and loss in fishing license revenue, which is one of its main sources of income.

Roads by the lake have not all been repaired so people are asked to drive with caution.
