A plumber working at the Alder Inn in South Lake Tahoe sparked a fire that spread to the second floor.

The fire was reported at 1:30pm on May 1. Crews were able to rapidly extinguish the blaze on Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

The plumber was using a torch. The fire went up through the wall.

No one was injured.
