An array of illegal fireworks was confiscated last weekend by Truckee police officers.

Officers had stopped a vehicle in town after it had struck the center divide on Interstate 80.

The driver and passenger face charges of being under the influence of methamphetamine and in possession of a large amount of illegal fireworks.

Fireworks are prohibited within the town limits. It’s not just discharging fireworks that is illegal, but possession is as well.
