·      California and Nevada are among the states with the highest fatalities on rural roads. Fatalities were measured as a rate for every 100 million miles traveled on rural, non-interstate roads by the research group TRIP: 1. South Carolina, with a rate of 3.82 fatalities, 2. California, 3.19 fatalities, 3. Kentucky, 2.98, 4. Mississippi, 2.93. 5. Montana, 2.81 and 6: Nevada, with a rate of 2.77 fatalities.

·      The Minden Library is showing family movies every Saturday in July at 2pm in the meeting room.
