Guests at Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort in South Lake Tahoe were evacuated briefly Tuesday night when a fire alarm went off.

Firefighters said soldering in the wall on the fifth floor activated the alarm on July 25. Soldering is used to connected electronic components.

As of 6:30pm all the guests were allowed to return to their time shares on Ski Run Boulevard. They were out of the complex for about 30 minutes.

A call to the hotel was not returned.
