SLT cops looking for suspect who severely injured man

Nine days after a man was found lying in a South Lake Tahoe street unresponsive with a significant head injury he remains hospitalized and his assailant on the loose.

Police on July 5 finally are asking for the public’s help in regards to the June 26 incident.

Adam Albaugh, 23, of Pennsylvania was found on Park Avenue between Cedar Avenue and Highway 50. He had been in the area on a temporary work assignment.

Witnesses told officers that an unknown, unidentified Hispanic male adult had chased Albaugh down the street and tackled him. Albaugh fell to the ground and struck his head.

How the two might know each other has not been disclosed.

The assailant is described as 5-feet-10, about 200 pounds, with short black hair. He was accompanied by a dark-complexioned white female, approximately 5-feet-6 and 140 pounds.
