Truckee family’s dog rescued from stolen vehicle in Reno

A dog taken when thieves stole a pickup truck in Truckee on Saturday has been reunited with his family after he was found inside the vehicle in Reno on Tuesday.
The vehicle, a 2016 Dodge Ram, was reported stolen Saturday evening from in front of the owner’s home in the downtown Truckee area with the family dog, Albus, inside, according to a Truckee Police Department Facebook post.
Officers found the pickup a few blocks away and attempted to stop it, but the pickup headed onto Interstate 80.
