Bowman still in contention for Olympic team

Olympic medalists Maddie Bowman and Devin Logan both had the opportunity to qualify for the 2018 U.S. Olympic halfpipe skiing team with a win at Friday’s Dew Tour stop in Breckenridge, Colo.
Instead, Canada’s Cassie Sharpe took first place, and the Americans will have to wait.
Bowman, the defending Olympic gold medalist in women’s halfpipe skiing, led briefly after rebounding from a fall early in her first run with a big second run, but Marie Martinod of France and Sharpe pushed the Meyers resident to third place going into the third and final run.
