·      Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce is hosting a workshop for business owners and community members about tax preparation. This workshop will be facilitated by tax experts from H&R Block and M.U.N. CPAs. It will be March 21, noon-1:30pm at the chamber office in Stateline. Cost is $10 for members, $20 for others.

·      The Douglas County Public Library is participating in the In-N-Out Burger Cover to Cover Club reading program from March 3-April 14. Children ages 4-12 are eligible to earn a certificate for a free cheeseburger or hamburger for every five books read. Each child may earn up to three certificates. Sign up for the program at the Minden or Zephyr Cove library to receive a reading log. 

·      Rubicon Pizza Company in Northstar Village recently gave $15,000 to Truckee Bike Park project.

·      Emmy-nominated comedian/actor and “Saturday Night Live” alum Rob Schneider will be at MontBleu in Stateline on March 10.

·      Nevada’s law enforcement officers participating in the Joining Forces program will be working to keep the roads safe by watching for drivers exceeding the speed limit. This enforcement will take place from March 2-18.
