I already took the Fire Dept survey, and I did not know most of the answers. However, I worry that our Fire Dept is understaffed and under-funded, and their response time is half of what it should be. We are left with only ONE fire station in town, after the closure of the All Tahoe area Fire House due to lack of funding. We live in a forest, and it is imperative we have the fire-fighting resources necessary to protect lives and property where we live! Funding our Fire Department resources is far more important than spending money on remodeling the City Council lobby, etc.

What A totally bogus leading questions kind of survey. What percentage of the busg t goes to the fire department ? Who cares? The percentage doesn’t matter, what matters is how much is needed. The survey clearly. Is going to be used to tell the council they want more money. Again.

Where would anymore money for public safety come from? Given the growing impact of Calpers, the potential elimination of VHR’S, the rejection by voters for roads and paid parking we will probably need a survey to figure out where to reduce the city budget.
