suspectsTwo South Lake Tahoe men are accused of stealing the identities of five people in order to illegally purchase art.

Chad Galvan, 31, and Marcus Gamez, 31, were arrested last week on burglary and identity theft related charges.

“On Feb. 25, they went to the Marcus Ashley Gallery in South Lake Tahoe. While there they attempted to purchase a piece of art using a credit line they had opened in a victim’s identity. They also went to the gallery several days prior and successfully purchased artwork with stolen identities,” Detective Doug Sentell told Lake Tahoe News.

They used information from the identities to create several fraudulent Pennsylvania driver’s licenses that contained the victims’ names, home addresses, and dates of birth, according to Sentell. Authorities don’t know how the identities were stolen.

Businesses, including hotels, believing the men may have been at their establishment are asked to call Sentell at 530.542.6138.

They should have asked one of the many faces on the guy’s neck about his and his crime partner’s bad intentions. Might of heard something like a warning: “tattoos on the face and neck are trouble sure as heck.” These two don’t look like this is their first crime spree, this is their line of work.

These two insects don’t strike me as appreciating fine art. They are more in the group of bottom feeders. Anyone can see that. They look like something bad my dog ate and squirted out. Roaches like this need to be stepped on.

It’s 2015. You can stop hating on tattoos. Just because people have neck of face ones it does not make them bad people. Way to judge a book but its cover.

Way to judge….. by experience. If you can’t decipher the tats then you have nothing to say. LOOK at them. You’d be best to read and learn from them. THEN…just maybe your opinion might matter. What if you have a daughter and this tatted — wipe shows up to take her out?!! If you’d let her go with him….you deserve the pain that follows. OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!

A book by it’s cover? Hmmm, let’s see. He looks like a dirt bag fresh out of prison. He has STOLEN a persons identity, then used it to obtain goods in a FRADULENT manner. Seems to me and any other logical person that HE IS a bad read!!! If you think otherwise…you’re as clueless as they come.
The other IDIOT looks like he’s on a Heroin nod. Stats will show most drug addicts will STEAL from anyone. These two are poster children of your books cover.

Well I dont know about the rest of you, but id have no clue how to do this stuff. Steal someones identity, change official documents, wait for new credit cards in the mail etc, purchase fine art. Guess the art sellers were not intimidated or swayed by the neck art $$$. Takes brains to do all that, they just werent smart enough to not get caught.
