I hope they mention riding single file on the right land side of the road and stopping at stop signs.

Maybe walking your bike in cross walks and using lights and reflectors at night. Also would it be too much to ask to have the old grey fat boomers not where stretch panties?

Yeah, my first suggestion would be that cyclists and pedestrians start following the laws that apply first and foremost. The jay-walking is out of control, as is the stop sign running by cyclists. Start ticketing ’em. They are just as good a source of revenue as drivers are!

So Dogula, ye of less government mindset, is advocating uniformed police officers spend their time staking out traffic signs for bicycle rider infractions? As a source of revenue?!

And jay-walking is out of control? Say it isn’t so! This must be a new phenomenon in a town with a crosswalk every…….mile?.

Just sayin’. . . they mine the auto drivers for funds. If they’re not going to quit that, let’s enforce ALL the laws equally.
Or are some travellers more equal than others?

How many of the chosen ones get tickets for having their rear license plat covered by a bike rack?

I do not disagree with Dog, that we cyclists (I ride a few k miles a year as a 61 yr old) should be more mindful of the laws that govern us and ride safely and responsibly; but let us not forget the 800 lb gorilla in the room – motorists (I also drive over 25k a year due to work). We motorists violate more traffic laws by several magnitudes – can you say nearly 40,000 deaths a year on our Nations highways and countless injury accidents. Just go sit at the stop sign at North Upper Truckee and Lake Tahoe Blvd., if you gave a dollar to every motorists that stopped, you would not go broke.
