Truckee firefighters were able to contain a fire in the South Ponderosa neighborhood on Palisades Drive to one-quarter acre.

Officials said no structures were damaged nor were they threatened in the June 23 blaze. The fire consumed natural vegetation.

The cause is under investigation.
