DUI checkpoint in Douglas County on July 4

Nevada Highway Patrol will be setting up a DUI checkpoint in Douglas County at Lake Tahoe during the Fourth of July holiday.

The exact location on Highway 50 has not been disclosed.

This event is being funded by a Joining Forces grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.

In addition to the checkpoint, additional officers will be patrolling the area roadways throughout the weekend to further protect pedestrians and other motorists from impaired drivers.
