Bike paths expanding in Tahoe basin
Several bike baths are being built in the Lake Tahoe Basin this summer, with most expected to be completed by fall.
They include:
- Sawmill 2 – Closing the gap on Sawmill Boulevard Bike Trail in El Dorado County
- Nevada Stateline to Stateline Bikeway – Laura Drive connection on the South Shore
- South Tahoe Greenway – Herbert to Glenwood Shared Use Trail in South Lake Tahoe
- Al Tahoe Boulevard – upgraded sidewalk in South Lake Tahoe
- Highway 89 – bike lanes and wide shoulders from the Y to Taylor Creek Visitor Center on the South Shore and then Tahoma to Ward Creek on the West Shore
- Zephyr Cove Campground to Warrior Way – this shared-use trail is now under construction and will be completed next summer.
Does this mean the old stretch panty guys will stay
stay out of the middle of the road??
Who can we see how manly they are if their on a bike trail?
‘…if their on a trail?’ Their what?
I would guess that they’re going to dress differently when they realize Sunriser2 is busy staring at their, their….you know THERE(!) whenever they’re wearing their spandex!
I find the obsession with the spandex shorts hysterical. It is always the first thing people bring up. When was the last time you heard someone crab about, “those golfing guys with those silly shorts and shoes with the spikes on them” or “Those ridiculous football player with all the padding. Are they just trying to make their muscles look bigger?”.
They don’t wear those spandex shorts to look manly, they wear them to BE manly.
“Who can we see how manly they are if their on a bike trail?”
wwwwwoooooooooooowwww, my brain feels all tingly.
My concern is more with how many we are going to get riding these “trails”, as there has always been a ‘divide’ between road bikes (with the silly comments like above) and mountain bikes. . .the trails could be in the “wikable’ category (Nancy Kerry’s combo of ‘walkable/bikable’) but will they be used to reduce auto traffic, or lay fallow once connected (?)
