I wonder if this was the guy I saw talking on his phone while riding down the median on 50 with one hand to his ear and the other on the handlebar….

I saw this guy and almost hit him myself. Running red lights, zagging across both sides of the blvd very very quickly. My first thought was drugs. Second thought was he’s gonna get hit TODAY. No helmet either. Just a Dodgers ball cap. LA; go figure.

Natural selection at work? Or weeding out the lightweights!!! Im sure there is a cliche that fits this scenerio. I hope the car driver is ok.
ive seen some real close calls with bicycle riders this last few weeks. Two kids ran right through a stop sign on 3rd and my mom about peed her pants the collision was so close. It is scary driving around this time of the year.

One of the bicycle groups should start trimming the trees and bushes next to stop signs.

Way too many knuckle heads riding against traffic and running stop signs.

@Liberule…a helmet is supposed to protect the brain…so I’m thinking he didn’t need one.

I thought the story said the cause is under investigation. All these comments are blaming the cyclist. I ride in this town and I’m constantly slamming on my brakes for cars. They roll through red lights, they ignore cross walks etc. How about we all wait to find out what actually happened before we blame.
