Local artists capture the essence of plant form in an exhibition at the Wilbur D. May Museum in Reno. The Power of Plants art show and sale features dozens of paintings from the Sierra Watercolor Society.

All art on display is available for purchase.

An artist reception will be Aug. 16 from 1-3pm.

The free exhibit runs through Sept. 12. The Wilbur D. May Museum is at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra St., Reno

The Sierra Watercolor Society is a non-profit organization made up of artists from Northern Nevada and Eastern California.
