While I did not know this brave man, I would like to extend my sympathies to his family. I have a friend with ALS and I can’t even imagine the challenges everyone faced. May the memories of happy times ease the sorrow you feel today.

My sincere sympathy to the family. Hopefully, cannabis (medical marijuana) will soon provide a partial cure for ALS. Writing in the American Journal of Hospice & Palliative Medicine in 2010, a team of investigators reported, “Based on the currently available scientific data, it is reasonable to think that cannabis might significantly slow the progression of ALS, potentially extending life expectancy and substantially reducing the overall burden of the disease.” They concluded, “There is an overwhelming amount of preclinical and clinical evidence to warrant initiating a multicenter randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of cannabis as a disease-modifying compound in ALS.”

Steve to use the passing of a family member, of a long time local family, to push your agenda is sick. Please keep your comments and views away from the loss this family feels!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yes Steve,
You should have stopped at sympathy to the family.

Steve is providing information to help others suffering from ALS. If some folks find that offensive that is your problem.

That’s bull AROD, if Steve wants to talk about the benefits then do it in a better place. Using the passing of someone is just in bad taste, that’s what my problem is.

Steve- my disgust for using this site to promote your program (your right to feel anyway you want) knows no bounds, signed His Dad

Is it too soon? It reminds of the gun control debate after a mass shooting. “We must mourn before discussing change” We need action. If Steve’s information provides help for those suffering, that is a good thing.

Sheesh. I think Steve was just trying to help others and citing a fact. Maybe it could have given some relief. So quick to hatred in this site.
