league·       The League to Save Lake Tahoe replaced 4,000 square feet of lawn with water-wise native plants at its South Lake Tahoe office.

·       Placer County Department of Child Support Services was recognized as the 2015 Most Improved Program by the Western Interstate Child Support Enforcement Council.

·       Eldorado National Forest will lift fire restrictions Oct. 5. This means forest visitors in possession of a valid California campfire permit may have open campfires outside of designated campgrounds.

    With everything so dry and almost dead, it is too early to lift the fire restrictions. Wait until there is snow on the ground. October can be windy and dry with very high fire danger. And we all know that people are very irresponsible with fire !
