By Angel Collinson, Outside

My younger brother John and I grew up in Snowbird Ski Resort’s employee housing, high in Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon, 30 minutes drive from downtown Salt Lake City and home to Snowbird and Alta, two of Utah’s premier ski resorts. My dad was a ski patroller at Snowbird. We were lucky: Our childhood was filled with fresh air and, in winter, fresh snow. But that’s been changing for the worse.

From kindergarten through high school, my mom homeschooled us, along with four other canyon kids. We rarely left the canyon in winter, we just skied.

It was a child’s utopia, except for the fact that, most days, the border between our life in the canyon heights and the Salt Lake Valley below was clearly demarcated by a thick layer of brown-gray haze.

wire..That was a totally nasty comment for absolutely NO reason.

Angel wrote a fine article and should be commended for her efforts to save her own Blue spot on the planet.
By the way, in case you missed it WIRE the skiing in UTAH is awesome.

Good luck Angel says a supporter from LAKE TAHOE

Angel come to the Lake Tahoe with our decent snow, unlimited visibility, clean air and some of the best ski resorts.
    Why live where you’re miserable?

don’t…Angel seems to be doing what the SAVE TAHOE people are attempting here…

Toughing it out against all odds to preserve the beauty of the place….windmills on the ridges?? bridge over Emerald Bay??…fractional residences and timeshares motel row…awful. Not to mention the Tahoe Keys …again!

I am NOT going anywhere! :)~

Robin, every human here is part of the problem. Why don’t you do you part to reduce the human population despoiling our area? Selfishness for me and not for
thee may be your motto but not mine.

don’t….So sorry that you missed my point…by a mile.

don’t: “every human here is part of the problem”. You could be the first to add improvement by moving away. Lead by example comes to mind.

Kits and Robin learn to read and comprehend. I did not suggest anyone but the selfishers exit the basin.
I welcome reasonable growth and the sharing of this beautiful area. Get it.

don’t says, “Robin….Selfishness for me and not for thee may be your motto but not mine.”

I read and understand/comprehend exactly what that means.

don’t says…Robin, “Why don’t you do your part to reduce the human population despoiling our area?”

don’t…Exactly what is it you think I do not understand/comprehend about these remarks?

    don’t,

Re reading Angel’s article does not tell me that she is as you put it, ‘miserable’ except that the pollution in the area seems to be uncontrolled and she is soliciting help from the minions.

It looks like they are fighting the same problem in UTAH that we face here.
