No action was taken Saturday by the El Dorado County board of education during a special meeting.

The meeting was called to discuss Superintendent Jeremy Meyers who on Nov. 5 was arrested on four misdemeanor charges related to driving under the influence. His blood alcohol level was 0.19, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Shortly before Meyers crashed his truck in Placerville he had been at the county office of education working.

This is the second DUI arrest in about a five-month period for the elected official. He pleaded no contest in the first case. That incident was also in the middle of a workday.

The board of education expects to discuss the situation further at a December closed session meeting. As elected official Meyers does not fall under traditional employee rules.

Here is just one the things of many that are horribly wrong with this world, I’m sure there are lot folks with Masters and school admin experience that would love a job like this but can’t due to dirty politics. Fire his A##!

Parents should keep their kids out til he resigns, teachers and administrators should all call in sick(or call in and say they’re too drunk to drive to school) til he resigns.

Meanwhile, workday Happy Hours continue at the County Office of Education.

December is a long way off, let’s be tolerant and let the good times roll. And the hefty paychecks.

Say What! I wouldn’t still have an income with a record like this gent. One I can forgive. Being stupid. Two as a big wig, time to say, “Stupid, I’m out of here”.

Closed door meeting? Maybe we the people should take those hinges off. This dude is a sick disgrace to his profession and to the people that trusted him. A public flogging followed by a public firing (squad?) seems apropos.

Wow. This screams something about the Board of Education. Can we find out WHY the decision was delayed?

Wow, 2pm, a BAC of 0.19 (2X the legal limit), and just coming from work! He must have a well stocked bar in his office. Hope the heck he doesn’t decide to take a drive to SLT today!
