Winter storm warning issued for Tahoe

The National Weather Service in Reno has placed the Lake Tahoe Basin under a winter storm warning from 4am to 7pm on Sunday.

The heaviest snow is expected to be between 10am and 4pm, with 6 to 10 inches at lake level and 10 to 18 inches above 7,000 feet.

Winds will be the strongest in the morning.

There is a chance of snow into Monday.

Highs through Wednesday will be in 30s, with lows being in the teens or less starting Sunday.
