During the Christmas Eve storm in the Sierra a California Highway Patrol vehicle was totaled.

The officer was not injured, just “shaken up”, according to the department.

The patrol truck was on eastbound Interstate 80 in Truckee when it was hit. There were whiteout conditions at the time.
