tom mcclintock·      A staff member of Rep. Tom McClintock’s office will be at Lake Tahoe Airport on Feb. 1 from 10-11:30am to discuss issues facing the district, which includes the California side of Lake Tahoe, as well as any difficulties people may be experiencing with a federal agency

·       Elegant Evening, Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra’s annual fundraiser, is April 23 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe from 5:30-9:30pm. Tickets are $65 and include a seated meal. Entertainment is by local Trey Stone.

·       Truckee was named Small Community of the Year by Infill Score and Curbed Ski Town of the Year.

·       Tahoe Expedition Academy’s annual winter Celebration of Learning is Feb. 2 from 5-8pm at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. It’s an opportunity to get a consolidated crash course on the school’s philosophy, programs and results, as well as information about the new campus outside Truckee.

·       In U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hotel Rankings the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe is a Gold Badge winner for being one of the best hotels in the United States.

    Mcclintoc, what a waste of time. He has no interest in what anyone up here has to say. He sends a staffer to be here for 1 and a half hours on a monday in the middle of the morning. Sure, ill take time off work to talk to someone who is probably stareing at their cell phone and wishing they were up skiing instead of hearing the people. What a waste of time. Isnt it time to retire yet, mcclintock?
