Tevarez Lopez, 33, of Georgetown was arrested earlier this month on drug and weapons charges.

While he is not being implicated in the murder of Dennis Wright, 40, the drugs involved may be tied to Wright, according to El Dorado County sheriff’s deputies. Wright was killed Jan. 30 in the parking lot of the Beverly Lodge in South Lake Tahoe.

Officials are not releasing specifics about what might tie Lopez to the Wright case.
