Calif., Nev. gas prices some of the highest in U.S.

California in March was the most expensive place to buy gasoline, with Nevada coming in third.

The national average was $2.06 per gallon. This was an increase of 33 cents from February, according to AAA.

In California the average price was $2.77 per gallon, while in Nevada it was $2.44.

Hawaii was the second highest at $2.62 per gallon.
