Letter: Tahoe Summit needs changes
To the community,
The good news is that President Obama is to speak at the Tahoe Summit on Aug. 31. The bad news is that
it is to be at Harveys outdoor stage and a band is to perform at the same event – a band named The Killers.
This is entirely unacceptable.
I ask others to join me in calling on Sen. Harry Reid, who is responsible for this scheduling, to either cancel the band’s performance or select another venue. As much as I would like to hear the president in person, I will not attend the event in these circumstances.

What time is Airforce One touching down at South Lake Tahoe Airport?
Line up the local children! Everyone wants to see that!
Sorry, no changes needed. The Killers are an internationally famous band from Las Vegas that play incredible music. They have played at the White House for Barak Obama as well as for Harry Reid and they have been politically active for years. There version of “Don’t Fence Me In” has been used as the background music for Travel Nevada advertising that promotes the state. It would be a mistake not to see them. Don’t judge a band by their name.
Good Stay home, More fun and room for me and my friends. If you don’t like the name of the band the Killlers, Obviously you’re judging a book by it cover. You have no idea what type of music they play, you’re showing some ignorance in this letter.
They’re using their musical talent over there in Nevada.
I don’t think The Dead Kennedys are busy that day.
“The Dead Kennedy’s”? A boorish contribution fitting of a Chad le Clos mentality.
AirforceTwo has landed here with Laura Bush…they have pictures.
So the answer is YES they can land Airforce One here.
