Douglas County’s 2016 Transportation Master Plan Update will be the topic of an Oct. 11, 6pm meeting.

Parson’s Transportation Group Inc., who prepared the update, will give a presentation at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Ave. in Minden.

The plan outlines the improvements needed to the Douglas County Transportation Network from the present day until 2040 to maintain efficient movement of pedestrians, vehicles, and other transportation modes.  The meeting will consist of a presentation on the goals, the findings of the update and the necessary transportation improvements.

The plan will also be presented at future Regional Transportation Commission, Planning Commission, and Board of County Commissioners meetings.
