Truckee enlists residents’ input on recreational pot

Truckee is hosting a series of workshops to discuss how the town wants to regulate all things cannabis.

Because the use of marijuana was legalized last November, the town will be making changes to its zoning regulations, permitting processes and taxation practices.

Officials want to know what residents think about cannabis regulations.

The community workshops are Feb. 9, March 9, April 13 and May 11; 6-8 each night at the airport.

An online survey is being used to gather input, too.

What a refreshing approach. Rather than ignoring the citizens, they are actually interested in what their citizens say. Well done, Truckee.
