Sherellen Gerhart will give a talk about palliative care on Feb. 1 from 6-7pm.

Palliative care is a medical specialty focusing more broadly on improving life and providing comfort to people of all ages with serious, chronic, and life-threatening illnesses.

Gerhart will discuss:

·       Palliative care vs. traditional care

·       Palliative care vs. hospice care

·       Qualifying for palliative care services

·       Understanding patient referrals.

The free talk will be in the board room at Lake Tahoe Community College.
