U.S. workers gave up half of their vacation days last year

Are you dreaming of a summer vacation you know you won’t take?
It’s not just you.
Most U.S. employees don’t use all of their vacation days, and those who do take a break are increasingly likely to work while doing so, according to a report by job site Glassdoor.
Only 23 percent of workers surveyed said they used all of their paid time off in the last 12 months. The average U.S. worker leaves almost half of his or her vacation days on the table.
I wonder how these statistics would look if the “sick” days that most government workers use for their vacations were counted. They save their “vacation” days for their schemes to bilk the taxpayers out of more money for their retirement and take “sick” days for their vacations.
This practice is certainly part of the problem with the various government-sponsored pension systems. You know, those “socialist” programs that are destroying our government.
Many people seem to be able to accept “socialism” as long as they are the recipients and someone else pays for what they get. If anyone else gets anything, then it is “socialism”. The hypocrisy is stifling.
