Reports of a man with a gun led Douglas County sheriff’s deputies to Rabe Meadow on June 5.

Deputies drove part way onto the U.S. Forest Service property in Stateline.

“Three deputies looked and were unable to locate anything,” Deputy Bernadette Smith told Lake Tahoe News.

A person reported seeing a man with a rifle in the trees.
