Arrest made in ski resort indecent exposure cases

Detectives have arrested a 34-year-old San Jose man suspected of exposing himself to more than half a dozen children in Santa Clara and at ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area.

Santa Clara police kicked off an investigation on July 17 after a man reportedly called a 9-year-old girl over to his window and exposed himself while masturbating.

A few days later, a detective reviewed a Placer County Sheriff’s Office flier naming Wellington Harned Potter as a suspect in seven indecent exposure incidents at Lake Tahoe area ski resorts. Most of the victims were girls, ranging in age from 7- to 15-years-old.
