·       There will be a public hearing on Lake Tahoe Community College’s 2017-18 budget on Sept. 12 at 6:15pm.

·      Orthopedic surgeon Jeff Orr is now with Barton Health’s Tahoe Center for Orthopedics. 

·      Women’s cancer support group offers a safe, confidential environment where women with cancer, or with a history of cancer, can meet others and address their challenges. The next meetings are Sept. 26 and Oct. 26, 6-7pm in the board room at Barton Memorial Hos­­­­­pital.

·      Outwest LGBTQ Film Fest will be at Lake Tahoe Community College on Sept. 21 at 7pm. It will be a fundraiser for the Lake Tahoe Pride equality scholarship.

·      All Colors of the Rainbow, a discussion about the LGBT community, will be Sept. 12 at 6pm at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City. It is free. For more info, call 775.690.3913.
