A group of about 40 protesters quietly and abruptly walked out of Republican Rep. Tom McClintock’s town hall in the city of Angels Camp Wednesday night.

“We’re going to take our district back,” said Kate Hege, 38, of nearby Amador City. “We have been to a half dozen town halls, we have made thousands of calls, we have talked with his staffers…to be heard. The only response that he has is to slander us as the radical left. We are his constituents, and he owes us representation…yet he doesn’t do anything for this district. This is about switching gears.”

Many outside the meeting said they don’t feel heard by McClintock, a conservative Republican who has represented California’s deep-red, largely rural 4th Congressional District, which includes Lake Tahoe, since 2009.

Step up… Do the work… Vote him OUT! He is a deadbeat. I can’t believe he collects a paycheck. But my biggest surprise is that he EVEN HAD A TOWN HALL MEETING! Identify a person willing to run for this office, who has integrity, public service passion, and is willing to listen and learn.

Tom is a great American who represents all in his district. You Kate and your loudmouth, uncouth, and mentally deficient cohorts can try to intimidate, frighten, and shut down town hall meetings but you only show your inability to be a thoughtful, concerned citizen in our representative democracy.
Why don’t you move to SFO where you will be with folks who are like minded and in control of the government and avoid getting an ulcer or other stress related disease.

Why don’t the malcontents just keep on walking until they reach their ideological cousins in Moscow and I don’t mean Idaho.
BTW, Tom fits the description described in the above comment for the person who should be our representative.
