Snippets about Lake Tahoe
· Tahoe Transportation District is having a meeting about the loop road on Oct. 5 from 5-7pm at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel in South Lake Tahoe. The public is being asked to weigh in on the project’s design elements.
· Expect to see more kids in Nevada walking on Oct. 4 in honor of recognition of International Walk to School Day.
· Rittz plus Sam Lachow, Eric Biddiness, and Sewer Crew will be part of the Strange Music Halloween Party at Whiskey Dicks in South Lake Tahoe on Oct. 31. Doors open at 9pm. Must be 21. Advance tickets are $25 at The Spot and Whiskey Dicks in South Lake Tahoe.
· Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Corps is offering an emergency preparedness and response training academy beginning Oct. 12. For more info, go online.
· Douglas County Sheriff’s Office swore in three deputies this week — Conner Michitarian, Jeremy Cunningham and Joshua Hodges.
Concerned citizens would be interested in the design elements of an APPROVED project. The Loop Road is NOT AN APPROVED PROJECT. Sounds to me like TTD is trying TRICK voters into giving input and approval on the Loop Road before the issue of approval is eve resolved. I think this is a real TRICK or NO-TREAT!
Happy Halloween!
This winter, the Snow Removal Team that clears the area proposed with an tree-landscaped median “Island Element” should try to clear that area in a fast, efficient way, I’ll bet it takes twice as long, with nowhere to pile snow before its picked up, and does damage to the fantasy islands.
TTD should spend more time & money on decent transportation for the South Shore.
