·      According to the League of American Bicyclists, California is the third most bike-friendly state in the country.

·      Douglas County libraries in Minden and Zephyr Cove will be closed Nov. 10-11 in observance of Veterans Day. 

·      Placer County is building another TART bus shelter in Kings Beach near the public parking lot on the south side of the highway between Coon and Fox streets.
