The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a winter storm watch for the greater Lake Tahoe area from 4pm Nov. 15 to 4am Nov. 17.

More than a foot of snow is possible at 7,000 feet or above.

“Accumulations below 7,000 feet are more uncertain and depend on how fast snow levels fall Thursday, but could reach 6 or more inches,” the Weather Service said.
