Tahoe Paddle Fest

Tahoe Paddle Fest at El Dorado Beach in South Lake Tahoe is June 25-27.

Celebrate the second annual Tahoe Paddle Fest with non-motorized watercraft from around the world. There will be demonstrations, competitive paddling events, boat skills workshops and exhibitions that feature indigenous boat building and crafts. An engaging celebration of native crafts, arts, culture, live music, and entertainment.

I participated in last years event and am looking forward to doing so again this year. The native ceremonies, both Washoe and Hawaiian, were very moving. I got to try out a SUP (standup paddleboard) and experienced the full body workout they are known for and of course there were kayaks galore—both personal and rental. With this seasons abundant snowfall, the lake level should be higher as well. See you there!
