·      Liberty Utilities has scheduled an outage in the Glenshire area along Crown Circle/Archery View in Truckee for Jan. 23, 8am-4pm.

·      Jim Holmes was chosen to serve as chair of the Placer County Board of Supervisors for this year.

·      University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will offer free gardening classes for anyone who wants to garden – those with big yards, small yards, or just patio or balcony space. The classes, offered in partnership with Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space, run 6-8pm every Tuesday, Feb. 6-March 27 at Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Reno.

·      The annual Kings Beach Snowfest Parade is scheduled for March 10, 11:30am-12:30pm on Highway 28 in downtown Kings Beach between Secline and Coon streets.
