Routine holiday weekend for law enforcement

image_pdfimage_print

It was a fairly routine Fourth of July for law enforcement. That’s not to say there weren’t plenty of arrests. That’s what made it normal.

South Lake Tahoe officers described it as a young crowd with lots of drinking.

“There was nothing out of the ordinary,” South Tahoe police Lt. David Stevenson said. “The boat guys thought there were fewer boats on the water.”

Five people were arrested in Incline Village at the DUI checkpoint over the weekend.

“It was a fairly quiet weekend for us – with no major problems; although the crowds at the casinos and the beaches at Elks Point and Zephyr Cove were larger than last year,” Douglas County sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Halsey said.

That boat check killing the tourist pulling their boats up here and then a fee to launch, plus a crab guy who does his biology lab work on your boat.
The t.r.p.a. 31 years of work on the lake been a waste of money. It’s still where it always was in clarity. It’s pork project and we are the hams letting it go on.
“THEY ARE KILLING THIS TOWN” and the valley casinos are getting plenty wealthy from not having their guest have to drive all the way up that road to end up on wagon train south shore crumbling streets. If you want say Blight ,Tahoe streets are the indicator of how poor we really are.

There was less money here this forth, lots of empty second home owners who had it with all the restriction on having a good time, and high prices as usual.
The tokes were nothing to brag about down at the clubs ,poof, Monday rolled around ,there went the weekend people.
There is no full vacation being taken up here anymore(there’s no where for affordable lodging).
Now we all can smile let the golf crowd groupie rubber neckers , the Big Tahoe Golf party…then summer crowds are about over.
Even the golf got boring ,it’s the same people almost every year.
    Who wants yesterday papers anyway?
