Budget stalement ties up billions of dollars in Caltrans work

State highway officials said Wednesday they may be forced to slow or halt more than $3 billion worth of road projects statewide – including several in the Sacramento area – if the state budget is not passed by September.
Several planned projects already have been placed on hold pending budget impasse resolution, state Department of Transportation officials said.
Does this include the hiway 50 project from Trout Creek towards Stateline? So sad to have our community wait so long for these needed projects.
