Thanks for passing along the news, Kae. Fro was also very proud to have played nose tackle for the UNC football team. He was a good ski buddy and he will be missed.

    Dear Fro,

You will be missed by so many, myself included. The memories are great, the good times will fondly be remembered. May your wonderful spirit live on in all of us. A shot of Jagermeister will be tossed back in your honor!

My memories of Robert go back so far.

Besides the documentary he provided of Tahoe’s great skiing tradition, Fro also wrote epic obituaries concerning some of our mutual and dear friends, some of the Lake’s best folks – Kaveh Beiglarpour, Steve McKinney, Sally Hudson and many others. So many of our friends passed, too young – we coud hardly keep count.

    And now Fro himself.

Robert was a gentle giant, a kind and sweet guy. I am fortunate to have been his good friend through three decades – we spent many a night at the River Ranch, West Shore Cafe, Pete’s, Rosies’ and every other haunt up and around the North Shore, talking, thinking, musing, partying like rock stars – I was deeply saddened to hear he passed.

    Cheers, Fro.
