Alpine keeping kids on lifts with magnets

Nervous about your kid falling off the chairlift? Do their short legs make them ride precariously close to the edge? Good news. Now, you can magnetically stick them to the back of the chair.

French company Magnestick has been installing magnetized chairs in Europe for the past three years, and this winter they’re coming to the U.S.

Alpine Meadows is the first resort in the states to implement Magnestick. They installed it in two of their beginner chairs: Meadow and Subway.

    Why is HEAVENLY NOT DOING THE SAME THING,HEAVENLY SEEMS TO HAVE LOTS PEOPLE FALLING TO THEIR DEATHS on a Regular TIME BASIS.
    IS THE 40 DOLLAR BURGER LODGE MORE IMPORTANT THAN SAVING LIFES?

    Sounds like a great idea for kids. But can you really say lots of people falling to their deaths? I seem to recall two in the past 10 years. Lets see…2 skiers out of 8,000,000 skiers (average 800,000 visiters per year for 10 years). Not exactly excessive.
