Natalie Yanish will officially be on the Kingsbury General Improvement District board.

She and Bob McDowell received the same number of votes on Nov. 2, necessitating a tie-breaker. They appeared before Douglas County Clerk Ted Thran on Nov. 19 to draw cards — with the high card designating the new board member.

Thanks to everyone who voted, and my supporters. It was the first time I have run for office, and it was a learning experience! Congratulations to Dan Norman and Darya Vogt. Thanks to Bob McDowell who ran a great campaign and was very gracious at the tie break. I’m sure he will stay involved with KGID.
